ZEAR was born in Argentina and immigrated to the United States as a young child. He is among a small handful of artists born out side the U.S. to make a mark in the New York City subway graffiti movement. His career began on the streets of New York in the late 1970s. His career on the subway peaked in the mid 1980s. He made his way into the ranks of prestigious crews like Fame City (FC) and Incredible Bombing Masters (IBM). Most of his work was done on the Broadway local . He produced many memorable cars with writers like ZAME, RSK, WEST and others.

ZEAR concluded his career on the subway around 1987. In 1992 he moved back to his child hod home of Argentina. Today Argentina has a vibrant graffiti scene of which ZEAR is very much a part of.
