Filmed in New York city during the early 1980s, Style wars brings the viewer into the secret world of subway artists. It documents the eras's top graffiti artists in their natural element-the train yards and tunnels of New York City's subway system. Artists such as CASE 2, DURO, MIN, SHY 147 (rip), SEEN UA, SEEN TC5, SKEME, DEZ aka (DJ KAY SLAY), DONDI (rip), CAP, IZ THE WIZ, MARE 139 are featured as well as many others. Also featured are top B-Boys from crews such as the Rock steady Crew. This film is often credited as serving as a working blueprint for graffiti art and Hip Hop movements across the globe.
